- Research: Ella has experience in both the private and public sector for research art collections and museum programmes. She offers a bespoke service to produce beautifully presented publications about private art collections or particular artworks owned by individuals.
- Media: Ella has media experience for live studio audiences, interviews, and radio. Appearances include BBC Radio 4, GB News, and TEDx. Topics include twentieth-century and contemporary art, women artists, regional galleries, sensitive issues in the arts, freedom of expression, and identity politics.
- Private Tutoring and Lecturing: Ella has extensive tutoring experience from pre-school all the way into retirement. She has developed her teaching skills through supervising, lecturing, and teaching at the University of Cambridge, Hong Kong University, American International University, Kuwait, and Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Porto, Portugal), among many others.
- Personal Art Guide: Ella enjoys taking clients and groups to collections and exhibitions across the country, providing bespoke tours and seminars. No prior experience or knowledge required, but just a desire to discover the joys of art.
- Consultancy: Ella has advised national and regional gallery professionals on practices based on her doctoral research, and is also open to working with private clients and companies to develop their art collections.
- Curating: Ella was assistant curator for Challenging Convention (2021) and WOW: Women Only Works on Paper (2021) at the Laing Art Gallery (Newcastle-upon-Tyne), and The Goddess, the Deity, and the Cyborg (2024) at The Women’s Art Collection (Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge), and curated Belonging (2024) and Conversation Not Spectacle (2024) at each respective institution. She also has commercial and private curatorial experience.
